What is chemical genomics?
Chemical genomics is "the use of molecule compounds to perturb a biological system in order to explore the outcome." (1) Chemical genetics can also be used to screen for potential small molecule modulators; however, that is not the way we will describe it. Disruption of the system through chemical modulators allows the scientists to infer the process of the system, and chemical genomics is a very powerful tool.
Conclusion
Upon searching PubMed for chemical genomic processes involved with TMC6 and EV, no results were found. This is most likely because EV is an extremely rare disease and the research in this disease is not sufficient enough to generate chemical genetic data.
